The Dish on Diapers

I've been working on this post for a while.  Cloth diapering is one of my newest loves.  Maybe you are interested in checking out cloth diapering options.  Maybe you think I'm absolutely insane for switching to cloth. I don't know...I just hope this post can help you learn more about cloth diapering and maybe, just maybe, encourage you to make the switch (or at least quit saying, "ick" "gross" "yuck" "it's too hard" every time someone mentions cloth diapers).

These are a few of my favorite things...

1 - - I love this little iPhone app.  It makes my crappy iPhone pictures look cute!

2 - Draft Cider - A cider a day keeps the doctor away.

3 - California Baby Calendula Cream -This stuff is great!  It is soothing to the skin, great for minor scratches or skin irritation, and it smells good, boot. I use it on Klaw and myself.  Perfume makes me fairly nauseated (it only got worse during pregnancy) but I could smell calendula all day long.

4 - Springtime, Inc. Longevity Powder - This supplement has worked wonders for our dogs. Samson was prone to hot spots & fairly regular GI issues.  Boomer had several outbreaks of demodex mange, which is related to immune system issues and is not contagious. Since adding this supplement (we also eventually upgraded their food to Innova Evo), both dogs have rarely had any issues.  Their poop is fine (hey - it's a great indicator of health!!!), their skin & coat is healthy, and they continue to act younger than their ages.

5 - Northland Cranberry/Pomegranate 100% Juice - It's good.  That is all.

*Disclaimer - I receive absolutely nothing for doing these lists.*

Genetics Appointment was a long day!  Four hours total with the genetics counselor, dietitian, geneticist, & lab.  Klaw missed his morning nap and GOODNESS GRACIOUS it was obvious.  I think he finally showed Outpatient 2B his temper.  Of course, they still think he's adorable.  He is.

Klaw's Christening

WOO HOO!!!  YIPPY SKIPPY!!!  The boy-child has finally been Christened!  This was our third and final attempt to get this accomplished.  Yes, I will readily admit that I had a few stipulations that added to the difficulty of getting this accomplished, but the Navy & Klaw's VLCADD did not help.

Livin' Like No One Else!!! The California Years

New reader?  Catch up with our Journey to Debt Freedom....

Before moving to the Monterey Peninsula, Chris and I made one very important decision:  We would live off of his income and my income would solely be used for the debt snowball. Being a military family & the fact that I am not a nurse or a teacher, we can never be 100% positive that I will have a job when we move to a new location.  I always try to find a job beforehand and, thankfully, it panned out beautifully for Monterey.

24 hours in a day, my foot!

I really can't believe there are 24 hours in a day.  If there were, I'd be able to get more done.  I removed my Facebook app from my iPhone thinking that would free up some time.  It kind of, I filled that time with dancing & making "music" with Klaw.  I thought I'd have more time to work on this blog.  I also thought I'd have more time to wash clothes & clean the kitchen (okay - I wasn't really aiming for more time to clean the kitchen).  Perhaps I'd even have more time to cook...

As Klaw becomes more and more mobile, the hours go by more & more quickly each day.  I am in awe at how much he grows and changes every single day.

I promise I have a few longer posts in the works and more pictures to edit.
